Dave's Records of Guelph (DROG) is a collective of independent
Canadian recording artists and musicians. Founded in 1993 by Dave
Teichroeb and Lewis Melville, and based in Guelph, Ontario, Canada,
our goal is to explore different ways to encourage and bring forward
the great music that is being created around us. This is largely
a volunteer effort made possible through friendship and cooperation.
Over 100 albums have been released carrying the DROG logo. Artists
include well-known bands like the Skydiggers, Rheostatics, Jeff
Bird (Cowboy Junkies), Black Cabbage, Kate Fenner and Chris Brown,
the Kramdens, Tannis Slimmon, Luther Wright and the Wrongs, Andrew
Whiteman (broken social scene) and many others. Additional information
is available at each artist's website.
DROG does not represent individual artists directly; we promote
our community at large in different ways. In addition to maintaining
the DROG website, one of our main activities has been catalyzing
the creation of "theme" albums.
A New Theme Album is here!!!!!
