With more than a decade's worth
of experimentation and experience behind him, Faux is
now turning his creative energies in a new direction.
The new album, A Letter to Providence is complemented
by stellar musicians: Maury Lafoy (The Supers, Kim Stockwood)
- bass, vocals, Graham Powell (The Supers) - guitar, vocals,
Blair Packam (Arlene Bishop, The Jitters) - drums, and
a few special guests including: Lewis Melville (One of
the head honchos at DROG Records, and a fine song writer-performer,
recording artist).
Adam Faux has been on the Canadian
music scene for 10 years (Pig Farm, Lost Dakotas, The
Urban Decay Group) and is continually breathing new life
into contemporary pop. His song attitude is most
easily compared to early Elvis Costello while harmonic
and melodic tendencies might mirror CSNY(emphasis on Young).
Faux is a celebrated Canadian songwriter who gets called
by the best for CO-writes and session work. He was the
only Canadian invited to ASACAP Songwriters workshop in
1996 where he further honed his noteworthy creative skills.
