Six-String Johnny is the alias of John Tonin, and the Jalapeños are Dino Dal Bello, Domenic Di Gravio, Stephen Hogg, Tom McLelland, Lewis Melville, Michael T. Oberle and Mark Williams.

This CD is a study in instrumental surf guitar music and marks John Tonin's debut into the world of recording his own music. The songs are reminiscent of the Ventures, with countless other influences merging into a potent and original musical brew.

John's new band, Six-String Johnny and the Jalapeños, is a cohesive unit which combines all the different styles of its component parts. Each pours their own abilities and experiences, undated and freshly squeezed, into the neo-modern world of late nineties Guelph and through the fingers of a guitar-toting wizard.
