Catalogue #DROG-002
U.I.C.'s final album captures an important
moment in Canadian music history. Ahead of their time, these
musicians are famous for their influence on an entire generation
of Toronto's nouveau rockers. This is the album that launched
DROG off the paper and into reality when Spencer (the king
of Thunder Bay), pushed the band into acting instead of
talking.
This is hockey rock. No, these are not songs about hockey,
these are songs by folks who love to play hockey. Songs
to be listened to on your car stereo.... loud. Heirs to
the throne established by bands like 13
Engines and Tragically Hip, U.I.C. are masters of tried
and true crunching guitar rock ... and this album continues
to stand the test of time.
A follow-up to Our Garage and Like
90 (a minor hit album in Germany and Northern Europe),
Witches in Credible was produced by the
band at Presence Sound and mixed by Michael-Philip Wojewoda
(Rheostatics, Jane Siberry, Spirit of the
West, Change of Heart, etc.) at Manta Eastern Studios.
