Adam West

Something is puzzling Canada, Ontario's Adam West. Nothing has gone wrong yet for the slightly gecko, mildly twisted, always entertaining foursome from the life insurance capital of Canada. Not one bad show, not one negative review, not one horrible snowmobiling accident. Okay, there may have been a few startling fashion faux pas here and there, but apart from that, Adam West has been the luckiest band in rock history.

Why? With comparisons to XTC, Squeeze, R.E.M. and a number of fat, balding morticians, Adam West have been pulled into the musical bosom of the land. Is it because they write good, melodic pop? Because they're nice and jocular? Or because they steer clear of malt liquor? The toast of London (Ontario- for now), regular CFNY airplay, cross-Canada touring with the Rheostatics, and having 13 Engines as your warm-up act,... gosh, where will it end?
