To describe Jeff Bird's music in a few words is impossible; and, in fact, there may not be enough words to gather up and cover all the nooks and crannies of Jeff's musical imagination.

Lewis Melville: "Travelling in Bird's universe is like participating in a seance held by a bunch of existentialist minstrels; after being introduced to all the participants by the host, the music draws the listener into a world which is a blend of many musical styles and sonic experiences, a place haunted by mischievious ghosts and ruled by a vivid imagination. That being said, it's probably best to experience Jeff's music for yourself; which leads to his two solo albums, "Jeff Bird" and the very new "Everything is coming Clear and Plain to my understanding", both of which will play nicely on a slow Sunday afternoon. It's music to dream to.

Famous for his long time association with the Cowboy Junkies, Jeff recorded on their hit album Trinity Sessions and all their subsequent albums, and toured with the Cowboy Junkies around the globe. Jeff is also a founding father of the renowned traditional folk band Tamarack, and has composed music for both film and television.
